PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure with high reliability, and a cylindrical body for providing the connection structure.SOLUTION: In a connection structure, first and second steel bars are inserted into a hollow part of a cylindrical body and connected. A separation space is provided between a first end of the first steel bar inserted into the hollow part and a second end of the second steel part inserted into the hollow part. An opening exposing the separation space and the first and second ends is formed in the cylindrical body. The separation space is filled with weld metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
