METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF LITHIUM COBALTATE-ORIENTED SINTERED PLATE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a flat lithium cobaltate-oriented sintered plate at high yield.SOLUTION: A method for production of a lithium cobaltate-oriented sintered plate includes steps of: (a) preparing a green sheet including CoOparticles having a thickness of 100 μm or less; (b) obtaining a sintered intermediate in which the whole or a part of CoOparticles changes to CoO orienting a (h00) plane parallel to a sheet face by burning the green sheet; (c) lowering the temperature of the intermediate to return to CoOwhile partially leaving CoO to obtain an oriented sintered plate including the CoOand CoO phases; (d) removing or reducing the warping and/or surge of the oriented sintered plate by heat-treating the oriented sintered plate while pressing using a flat face; and (e) introducing lithium in the flattened CoO-oriented sintered plate to form the lithium cobaltate-oriented sintered plate comprising LiCoO. The amount of CoO left in the step (c) is an amount effective for preventing crack of the sintered plate in the step (d).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
