FIRE-SPREAD PREVENTION MECHANISM FOR DRAIN PIPE, AND METHOD TO CONFIGURE DRAIN PIPE WITH FIRE-SPREAD PREVENTION MECHANISM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-spread prevention mechanism for a drain pipe that prevents a flowing water sound in the drain pipe from propagating to a floor slab.SOLUTION: A fire-spread prevention mechanism for a drain pipe is fitted on a drain pipe P that includes an aggregate drain pipe P1 installed to pierce through a floor slab s and formed of a nonflammable material, and a vertical pipe P2 formed of a flammable material. The fire-spread prevention mechanism includes: an expansive material 1 fitted on an outer peripheral surface of the vertical pipe P2 at a location below a bottom end of the aggregate drain pipe P1, the expansive material expanding inward in a radial direction due to a flame heat when the vertical pipe P2 is burnt at a time of fire, for covering at least a part of a drain flow passage; and a sound insulation cover 2 formed of a fire-resisting material that absorbs sound and covering the expansive material 1 from outside in a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
