POROUS MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous material that is easily produced, is light-weight and is usable as a medical material and to provide a method for producing the porous material.SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous material has a step of reacting an aluminum material with water to produce an aluminum compound on the aluminum material and a step of applying a temperature at which the aluminum material melts and allowing the aluminum material to flow out. The aluminum compound combines adjacent aluminum materials with each other to solidify and molding the same. The aluminum material is a fine raw material in a particulate form or a fibrous form and the aluminum compound is aluminum hydroxide and/or aluminum oxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
