FUEL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE FUEL AND COMBUSTION TREATMENT METHOD OF WASTE CONTAINING CARBON FIBER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize waste containing a carbon fiber poor in combustibility in a firing furnace or the like.SOLUTION: A fuel comprises waste containing a carbon fiber (WC). The carbon fiber contained in the fuel has an average fiber length of 500 μm or less. The fuel may be formed by mixing the fuel with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of ASR, coal, a resin, waste plastic, RDF, RPF, a waste tire, wood chips, sewage sludge, waste oil, and meat-and-bone meal so that the volatile matter content amounts to 10% or more. The fuel may be introduced into a cement kiln from at least one portion of a kiln front 11a of a cement kiln 11, a kiln tail 11b thereof or a main burner 12. The fuel can be fired in another firing furnace other than a cement kiln at a firing temperature of 600°C or higher and an oxygen concentration of 1% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
