ELECTRIC FURNACE FOR MELTING AND PROCESSING STEEL MAKING SLUG
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make leveling of wear of work-piece bricks at each of locations constituting refractory brick walls of DC electric furnace for steel making slug and improve its durability.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an electric furnace for melting and reduction treatment for steel making slug that includes furnace walls having outer steel shell outside and refractory brick walls inside. At least the furnace wall is provided with cooling means arranged at an outer periphery of the furnace wall at a location contacted with slug stored in the furnace to cool the outer steel shell, the refractory brick walls are arranged at locations contacted with the slug, include Mg-O-C bricks with high thermal conductivity of graphite percentage content of 30 mass% to 50 mass% and MgO-C bricks with low thermal conductivity of graphite percentage content of 10 mass% to 25 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】製鋼スラグ用の直流電気炉において耐火物れんが壁を構成する各部位のワークれんがの損耗を平準化させ耐用性を改善する。【解決手段】外側が鉄皮、内側が耐火物れんが壁で構成される炉壁を有する、製鋼スラグの溶融還元処理用の電気炉であって、少なくとも炉壁が炉内に貯留されるスラグに接する部位で炉壁の外周に配置されて鉄皮を冷却する冷却手段を備え、耐火物れんが壁は、スラグに接する部位に配置され、黒鉛含有率が30質量%〜50質量%である高熱伝導性のMgO−Cれんがと、スラグに接する部位以外に配置され、黒鉛含有率が10質量%〜25質量%である低熱伝導性のMgO−Cれんがとを含む、製鋼スラグの溶融還元処理用の電気炉が提供される。【選択図】図1
