METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANHYDROUS GYPSUM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing anhydrous gypsum capable of obtaining anhydrous gypsum without treatment at a temperature exceeding 180°C.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing anhydrous gypsum which comprises: (A) a step of preparing a mixture by mixing sulfuric acid and a calcium source (excluding gypsum); and (B) a step of drying the mixture, where in the step (A), the pH of the mixture is adjusted to 1.0 or less with sulfuric acid. In addition, there is provided another method for producing gypsum which comprises: (A) a step of preparing a mixture by mixing sulfuric acid and at least one gypsum selected from dihydrate gypsum and hemihydrate gypsum; and (B) a step of drying the mixture, where in the step (A), the pH of the mixture is adjusted to 1.0 or less with sulfuric acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
