INDIUM OXIDE POWDER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an indium oxide powder which hardly coagulates while having a fine primary particle diameter and has a uniform particle diameter and a narrow particle diameter distribution width, and further to provide a method for producing an indium oxide powder having a uniform particle diameter and a narrow particle diameter distribution width.SOLUTION: There is obtained an indium oxide powder having a BET specific surface area value of 10 m/g or more and 14 m/g or less and a standard deviation of an average BET specific surface area value of 1.0 or less, preferably 0.5 or less at a high yield by adjusting the amount of purified water so as to be 8 to 19 times based on the weight of the indium hydroxide powder in a cake containing an electrolytic solution and an indium hydroxide powder so that amount of the nitric acid remaining in the indium hydroxide powder after collected is 5000 ppm or more and 10000 ppm or less when the cake is subjected to solid-liquid separation from an electrolyte slurry generated by electrolysis and then the cake is washed with purified water.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】一次粒子径が微細でありながらも凝集し難く、粒径が均一であり、粒度分布幅が狭い酸化インジウム粉を得る。また、粒径の均一性に優れ、粒度分布幅の狭い酸化インジウム粉の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】電解にて生成された電解スラリーから電解液と水酸化インジウム粉を含むケーキとを固液分離した後に、当該ケーキを純水で洗浄する際には、回収後の水酸化インジウム粉に残存する硝酸量が5000ppm以上10000ppm以下となるように、当該ケーキ中の水酸化インジウムの重量に対して8倍〜19倍となるように純水量を調整することにより、BET比表面積値が10m2/g以上14m2/g以下であり、平均BET比表面積の標準偏差が1.0以下、好ましくは0.5以下の酸化ンジウム粉が歩留まりよく得られる。【選択図】なし
