DIAGONAL BRACE CONNECTION STRUCTURE FOR SCAFFOLD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagonal brace connection structure for a scaffold that enables a diagonal brace of a scaffold to be fitted readily on a support post and removed by an extremely simple operation.SOLUTION: A diagonal brace connection structure for a scaffold comprises a body metal fitting H that includes: two plate metal fittings on right and left provided with a slanted diagonal brace connection pipe 3 into which an end of a diagonal brace rod 2 may be inserted; an engagement insertion piece hanging from a tip of the metal fitting; a bracket holding piece connected swingably to the metal fitting; a wedge regulating piece spanned between base parts of the metal fitting; a wedge insertion space formed among the metal fittings, the wedge regulating piece and the bracket holding piece; a wedge piece 6 inserted into the space; and a pull-out hole 10 of the wedge piece 6. A space between an inner top edge 19 of the pull-out hole 10 and a top edge 20 of the plate metal fitting is formed to be large enough to accommodate a wire tightening tool X. The configuration should allow leverage to be utilized effectively for releasing a top piece of the wedge piece 6, the leverage deriving from the wire tightening tool X engaged with a thick wall part of the plate metal fitting and the inner top edge 19 of the pull-out hole 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
