PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in work efficiency in performing work using a work machine comprising a work apparatus having a work tool.SOLUTION: An image display system for a work machine includes: an imaging device attached to a work machine comprising a work apparatus having a work tool; a posture detection device for detecting a posture of the work machine; a distance detection device for acquiring information on a distance from the work machine to a work target; and a processing device that generates an image of part corresponding to the work tool, on the work target opposite to the work tool, by using the work tool's position information obtained by using the posture of the work machine and the work target's position information obtained from the information on the distance acquired by the distance detection device, and combines the image with the work target's image imaged by the imaging device to make a display device display the combined image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
