PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation structure of a roof capable of reducing the intensity of solar radiation incident on a roof material with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A heat insulation structure (1) of a roof includes: a roof material (10); and a heat insulating board (20) which is disposed above the roof material (10). The heat insulating board (20) has plural through holes (21) penetrating the heat insulating board in a thickness direction, and each of the through holes (21) is arranged to receive sunlight coming from the upper end of the through hole (21) with inner side wall surface in the through hole (21) at culmination time of the sun.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
