To provide a method for constructing roof heat insulation and a roof heat insulation structure in which a plate-like heat insulation material can be easily arranged between roof truss constituting members.SOLUTION: A construction method for roof heat insulation according to the present invention comprises: a placement step in which a plate-shaped heat insulation material is placed between roof truss constituent members; a fixing step of fixing one end part of a tape material to the roof truss constituent member in the vicinity of an outer edge of one side surface of the plate-shaped heat insulation material, the tape material having the other end part bonded to at least one of the other side surface and an end surface of the plate-shaped heat insulation material so that the one end part becomes a free end protruding from the outer edge of the one side surface of the plate-shaped heat insulation material; and a winding and bonding step of winding the one end part of the tape material so as to cover the one side surface of the plate-shaped heat insulation material and bonding the one end part of the tape material to the one side surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
