LIQUID ADSORBING MATERIAL, AND LIQUID ADSORBING BODY OBTAINED BY USING THE MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid adsorbing material which is used for coping with: pollution of the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds or the like due to leakage or outflow of oil, sewage or the like; or leakage of oil or sewage in a factory.SOLUTION: The liquid adsorbing material contains synthetic pulp comprising a branched microfibril fiber having 0.05-50 mm fiber length. A liquid adsorbing body is obtained by packing the liquid adsorbing material in a polyolefin-made nonwoven fabric or a sheet, which comprises a liquid-impermeable film as a portion thereof and the polyolefin-made nonwoven fabric as the other portion. The liquid adsorbing body is a mixture of the liquid adsorbing material with a wastepaper cellulose fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: None
