PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe handrail for scaffold, especially a preceding handrail.SOLUTION: A handrail for a scaffold comprises a connection metal fitting 29 installed on both ends of a horizontal material 26 disposed between a pair of adjacent support posts 22 of a scaffold 21, and an anchoring metal fitting 30 for detachably anchoring the connection metal fitting 29 to the support post 22. The connection metal fitting 29 includes a connection part connected to the anchoring metal fitting 30, and a standing part 29c extending upward from the connection part and anchored to the horizontal material 26. The standing part 29c forms a bendable part that bends in a lateral direction when a lateral load is exerted on the horizontal material 26. The bendable part is formed by selecting from among a bent part, a through-hole, and a cutout part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
