PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for protecting a bearing body, which can reduce a burden on the bearing body against a temporary load and which can be removed.SOLUTION: A structure for protecting a bearing body provided in a clearance between a superstructure work and a substructure work of a bridge reduces a burden on a bearing body against a vertical load of the superstructure work in which at least one or more supports having the inside of a bag body filled with a filler are arranged in the clearance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
