SADDLE-RIDING TYPE VEHICLE AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND SADDLE-RIDING TYPE VEHICLE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-riding type vehicle authentication system improved in convenience corresponding to the parking characteristics of a saddle-riding type vehicle while maintaining crime prevention performance, and a saddle-riding type vehicle.SOLUTION: This saddle-riding type vehicle authentication system is provided with: a portable machine configured physically separately from the saddle-riding type vehicle to transmit/receive data; and an authentication control unit mounted on the saddle-riding type vehicle and configured to authenticate use of the saddle-riding type vehicle on the basis of a signal received from the portable machine through communication with the portable machine. The authentication control unit has a communication range enabling the authentication control unit to communicate with the portable machine for the authentication, and the rear end of the communication range having a longitudinal length longer than the right/left width of the saddle-riding type vehicle is positioned after the rear end of the saddle-riding type vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
