PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thumb-turn device that furthermore enhances air tightness of a gap between a thumb-turn shaft and a fixed cylinder, and enables the thumb-turn shaft to rotate smoothly during locking and unlocking.SOLUTION: A thumb-turn device includes: a thumb-turn shaft 7 rotatably held in a fixation cylinder 6; an annular plate type oil seal 9 fitted in a receiving space between an outer circumferential surface of the thumb-turn shaft 7 and an inner circumferential surface of the fixation cylinder 6; a water stop elastic body 11 where an inner circumferential surface of a central opening is externally fitted in an adherence state in the outer circumferential surface of the fixation cylinder 6, and a vertical inside surface becomes a contact state to an inner wall surface of an opening/closing member 1; and a tightening cylindrical screw 12 screwed in the male screw section of the fixation cylinder 6 so that the vertical inside surface of the water stop elastic body 11 may be brought into press-contact with the inner wall surface of the opening/closing member 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
