PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress settlement of a structure supported by ground subjected to ground improvement in such a manner that a liquefied layer is left in a shallow part near a ground surface.SOLUTION: A structure for suppressing settlement of a structure includes: a ground improvement body 24 which assumes a frame shape in a plan view and which is formed in ground 12 except for a ground surface part 18 of the ground 12; a structure 22 that is supported by the ground surface part 18; and settlement suppression means 20 that is provided in the ground surface part 18 in the state of surrounding the structure 22 in the plan view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
