SCOUR SUPPRESSING METHOD AND SCOUR SUPPRESSING STRUCTURE FOR RIVER STRUCTURE
To provide a method for appropriately suppressing scour around a leg of a river structure, particularly a method for connecting a plurality of gabions to each other, and the structure thereof.SOLUTION: A scour suppressing method for a river structure comprises steps of providing at least part of the river structure facing the running water of the river, installing a plurality of gabions so as to surround a portion of the river structure facing the running water in a plan view, and connecting the adjacent gabions to each other via a connecting member. Further, the connecting member includes a vertical member provided on the side surface of a main body of the gabion and a ring member provided around the vertical member. The adjacent gabions are connected to each other by providing the ring members around the vertical members so as to bundle the vertical members provided in the respective gabions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
