PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material, for example, a wall surface finishing material for deodorizing an odor of a tobacco, and capable of bleaching a stain of tar of the tobacco, as the building material for a wall surface used for a smoking facility.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a building material, for example, a wall surface finishing material having the odor deodorization effect and the bleaching effect of a tar stain by adding sodium hydroxide by a specified quantity to a wall material including zeolite. A base material of this building material is the zeolite, and a novel building material strong against an odor of a tobacco and capable of bleaching tar of the tobacco can be provided as a building material of a smoking facility, by saponification reaction induced by the added sodium hydroxide based on the present invention, by making the most use of the deodorization effect of an odor substance such as aldehyde and ammonia including formaldehyde being the effect characteristic of the zeolite. Application used for a place of easily causing an odor and an organic stain on a wall, such as a restaurant, can be conceived of besides the application in the smoking facility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 喫煙施設に用いる壁面用の建材として、煙草の臭いを消臭し、且つ、煙草のタール汚れを退色可能な建材、例えば壁面仕上げ材を提供する。【解決手段】 ゼオライトを含有する壁材に水酸化ナトリウムを規定量添加することによって、臭い消臭効果及びタール汚れの退色効果を備えた建材、例えば壁面仕上げ材を提供する。この建材のベース材料はゼオライトであり、ゼオライト特有の効果であるホルムアルデヒドをはじめとしたアルデヒド類やアンモニアといった臭い物質の消臭効果を活かし、且つ、本発明に基づいて添加した水酸化ナトリウムにより誘起させる鹸化反応によって、喫煙施設の建材として、煙草の臭いに強く、且つ、煙草のタールも退色可能なこれまでにない建材を提供することを得た。また、喫煙施設での用途の他にも、飲食店舗等、壁に臭いも有機性汚れも発生し易い場所等に用いる用途が考えられる。【選択図】 図１
