LIGHT CONTROL FILM AND LAMINATED GLASS
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light control film capable of effectively avoiding reduction in external appearance quality of a laminated glass when the film is used as an intermediate material of the laminated glass, and effectively avoiding reduction in a transmittance and reduction in aligning property of a liquid crystal so as to prevent diffracted light from being visually observed.SOLUTION: A light control film 10 includes: a first laminate 13 in which an alignment layer 23B is disposed; a second laminate 12 in which an alignment layer 23A is disposed; a liquid crystal layer 14 sandwiched between the first laminate 13 and the second laminate 12 and containing liquid crystal molecules; a spacer 24 disposed in the liquid crystal layer 14 to hold the thickness of the liquid crystal layer 14; and electrodes 22B, 22A disposed in the first laminate 13 and/or the second laminate 12. The electrodes 22B, 22A are driven to control the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules and thereby to control transmitted light. In a frontal view of the light control film 10, the proportion of an area occupied by the spacer 24 per unit area in a light controllable region of the liquid crystal layer is 0.1% or more and 10% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】合わせガラスの中間材に利用する場合等においても、外観品位の低下を有効に回避して十分に安定に駆動することができ、また透過率の低下、液晶の配向性の低下を有効に回避して回折光が見て取られたりすることが無いようにする。【解決手段】調光フィルム10は、配向層23Bが設けられた第1の積層体13と、配向層23Aが設けられた第2の積層体12と、第1の積層体13及び第2の積層体12により挟持されるとともに液晶分子を含む液晶層14と、液晶層14に配置された、液晶層14の厚みを保持するスペーサー24と、第1の積層体13及び又は第2の積層体12に設けられた電極22B,22Aとを備え、電極22B,22Aによる駆動により液晶分子の配向を制御して透過光を制御し、液晶層の調光可能領域における、調光フィルム10を正面視した場合の単位面積当たりの前記スペーサー24の占有面積の割合が、0.1%以上10%以下である。【選択図】図2
