PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon heater that has an accurate resistance value, a uniform heat generation distribution and a long lifetime, and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: In a carbon heater which is formed of a carbon base material having substantially 2D orthogonal anisotropy with respect to electric resistivity, and has a main heating portion which is substantially cylindrical or substantially disk-shaped, the direction of the central axis of the carbon heater is substantially coincident with the direction of the anisotropy of the electric resistivity in the carbon base material. Furthermore, in a carbon heater in which a main heating portion has rotational symmetry or spiral symmetry, the rotation axis direction or helical axis direction of the carbon-heater shape is substantially coincident with the anisotropic direction of electric resistivity in the carbon base material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】本発明の目的は、正確な抵抗値を有し、発熱分布が均一で、かつ長寿命なカーボンヒーターおよびその製造方法を提供することである。【解決手段】本発明は、電気抵抗率について実質的に2D直交異方性を有するカーボン基材から成り、主たる発熱部が略円筒形状または略円盤形状のカーボンヒーターであって、カーボンヒーター中心軸方向は、カーボン基材における電気抵抗率の異方性方向と実質的に一致することを特徴とする。また、主たる発熱部が回転対称性または螺旋対称性を有する形状のカーボンヒーターであって、カーボンヒーター形状の回転軸方向または螺旋軸方向は、カーボン基材における電気抵抗率の異方性方向と実質的に一致することを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
