PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous binder having no generation of formaldehyde in a curing process and excellent peel strength of an inorganic fiber heat insulation sound absorber after curing.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous binder for an inorganic fiber heat insulation sound absorber containing polycarboxylic acid and a crosslinking agent of the polycarboxylic acid, in which the polycarboxylic acid contains polycarboxylic acid having weight average molecular weight of 1000 to 20000 and acid value of 500 to 900 mgKOH/g, the crosslinking agent contains at least one kind of a reactive compound having at least one amino group and imino group or only hydroxyl group as a functional group reactive with the polycarboxylic acid, the reactive compound contains polyamine having weight average molecular weight of 100 to 500 and amine value of 1150 to 1650 mgKOH/g and polyol having weight average molecular weight of 90 to 250 and alcohol value number of 3 or more and a ratio of total molar number of the hydroxyl group, the amino group and the imino group in the crosslinking agent to molar number of the carboxyl group in the polycarboxylic acid is 0.3 to 1.2 and a ratio of the total molar number of the amino group and the imino group in the crosslinking agent to total molar number of the hydroxyl group, the amino group and the imino group in the crosslinking agent is 0.01 to 0.2.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】硬化の工程でホルムアルデヒドが発生せず、硬化後の無機繊維断熱吸音材の剥離強度に優れる水性バインダーを提供する。【解決手段】ポリカルボン酸とポリカルボン酸の架橋剤とを含有する無機繊維断熱吸音材用水性バインダーであって、ポリカルボン酸は、重量平均分子量１０００〜２００００且つ酸価５００〜９００ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇのポリカルボン酸を含んでおり、架橋剤は、ポリカルボン酸と反応性の官能基として、アミノ基及びイミノ基の少なくとも一つのみ、又は、水酸基のみを有する反応性化合物、を少なくとも１種含んでおり、反応性化合物は、重量平均分子量１００〜５００且つアミン価１１５０〜１６５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇのポリアミンと、重量平均分子量９０〜２５０且つアルコール価数３以上のポリオールとを含んでおり、ポリカルボン酸中のカルボキシ基のモル数に対する、架橋剤中の水酸基、アミノ基及びイミノ基の合計モル数の比が、０．３〜１．２であり、架橋剤中の水酸基、アミノ基及びイミノ基の合計モル数に対する、架橋剤中のアミノ基及びイミノ基の合計モル数の比が０．０１〜０．２である、水性バインダー。【選択図】なし
