VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND PORTABLE DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle communication system capable of detecting the position of a portable device at a necessary accuracy even when the portable device is either close to the vehicle or away from the vehicle.SOLUTION: The vehicle communication system includes an on-vehicle device 1 which transmits a detection signal from an LF transmission antenna 2 arranged on a vehicle C, and a portable device 3 which receives the detection signal and transmits a response signal according to the received detection signal. The on-vehicle device 1 detects the position of the portable device 3 by receiving the response signal transmitted by the portable device 3. The portable device 3 includes a measuring unit for measuring a reception signal intensity of the received detection signal, a quantization unit for quantizing the measured and obtained reception signal intensity with different resolution according to the measured and obtained reception signal intensity, and a transmission unit for transmitting the response signal containing the quantized reception signal intensity data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】携帯機が車両近傍及び車両遠方のいずれに位置していても、当該携帯機の位置を所要の精度で検出することができる車両用通信システムを提供する。【解決手段】車両用通信システムは、車両Cに設けられたLF送信アンテナ2から検出用信号を送信する車載機1と、検出用信号を受信し、受信した検出用信号に応じた応答信号を送信する携帯機3とを備える。車載機1は携帯機3から送信された応答信号を受信することで携帯機3の位置検出を行う。携帯機3は、受信した検出用信号の受信信号強度を測定する測定部と、測定して得た受信信号強度に応じた異なる分解能で該受信信号強度を量子化する量子化部と、量子化された受信信号強度データを含む応答信号を送信する送信部とを備える。【選択図】図1
