PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic coating material which prevents embrittlement of a fiber even at 800-1,200°C and even under high temperatures other than the above temperatures, and is excellent in coating properties and extensibility.SOLUTION: There is provided a ceramic coating material formed from a composition containing at least an inorganic fiber, inorganic particles, an inorganic binder and an organic binder, where the inorganic fiber is a polycrystal inorganic fiber and has one or a plurality of types of crystals of mullite, α-alumina, γ-alumina, δ-alumina and θ-alumina.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
