PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing a building component comprising adhesively bonding a textile to a surface of the building component by means of an adhesive.SOLUTION: A method for reinforcing a building component comprises the step of adhesively bonding textiles 11, 12, 13 to a surface of the building component by means of an adhesive. The textiles 11, 12, 13 before the adhesive bonding has a ductility of 1.0 or more, the adhesive in the cured state has a ductility of 1.5 or more, and the building component after the adhesive bonding has a ductility of 2 or more, where the ductility is in each case determined as the ratio of the value of the total elastic and plastic deformation to the value of the elastic deformation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
