PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tsunami-resistant structure capable of protecting an existing building against a tsunami, without making a tsunami load affect the existing building because it is completely separated from the existing building.SOLUTION: A tsunami-resistant structure 10 includes: a column-beam frame body 3 that comprises a plurality of columns 1 in positions to surround an existing building K, without coming into contact with the existing building K, and a beam 2 for connecting the columns 1 together; a panel 4 that is fitted into the column-beam frame body 3; and one or more horizontal force transfer members 5 which do not cross each other, and which are arranged on a top surface of the column-beam frame body 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
