PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor device capable of reducing the number of electronic components arranged in a sliding door.SOLUTION: A linear motor device includes a scale material 57 attached to a sliding door 40 including a first region 57a and a second region 57b, where at least one of reflection characteristics and transmission characteristics for visible light is different from those of the first region 57a, alternately in a predetermined direction. The linear motor device includes an irradiation part 67a attached to an upper frame, and irradiating the scale material 57 with visible light, a detector 68a attached to the upper frame, and detecting the visible light irradiated toward the scale material 57, and a non-contact power supply device performing non-contact power supply to a driver based on the detection results from the detector 68a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
