PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation assist device and a structure provided with the same that reduce force necessary for operation without a person conducting a special operation.SOLUTION: A mechanism section 5 includes a first mechanism part 51, a second mechanism part 52, and a linkage member 53. The linkage member 53 is connected to the first mechanism part 51. With an operation assist device 1, the linkage member 53 shifts the first mechanism part 51 and the second mechanism part 52 to a linked state from an unlinked state when the first mechanism part 51 moves in a first direction D1 and a soft closing operation starts, and the first mechanism part 51 pushes the second mechanism part 52 until a regulating member 24 starts moving when the first mechanism part 51 moves in a second direction D2. The mechanism section 5 changes a positional relationship between a first magnet device 3 and a second magnet device 4, so that repulsive force is generated when the first mechanism part 51 moves in the first direction D1 and attracting force is generated when the soft closing operation is finished.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
