VIBRATION ABSORBER AND BUILDING BASE STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple structured vibration absorber and a building base structure for giving earthquake resistance to both of a base concrete and a building thereon, capable of exerting earthquake resistance effect to both of short-period earthquake movement and long-period earthquake movement at a low cost.SOLUTION: Disclosed vibration absorber 10 includes: an elastic member 30; and a pair of blocks 20 each of which has a concave part 22 capable of storing the elastic member. Each of the pair of blocks 20 is disposed vertically with openings of the concave parts 22 facing each other. Each of the elastic members 30 exerts an elastic force in a direction that the pair of blocks 20 are separated away from each other.
