PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for an underpinning method capable of readily connecting a steel pipe pile.SOLUTION: A joint 20 for an underpinning method of the present invention includes: a flat plate member 22; a plurality of cut and raised pieces 24 formed respectively on both sides of the flat plate member 22 by cutting and raising a portion of an outer peripheral edge part of the flat plate member 22 in a circumferential direction, alternately in opposite directions at a prescribed interval, the cut and raised piece being inserted inside an edge part of a steel pipe pile 14 to be connected; and a support member 26 for supporting the cut and raised piece 24 from inside, the support member being provided on the flat plate member 22 at a location inside of each of the cut and raised pieces 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
