PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball type fire hydrant that has small fluid resistance with a valve open, and can securely prevent a jet flow from an outflow side in an operation with the valve open while minimizing the number of components and being reduced in overall height.SOLUTION: The ball type fire hydrant has a spherical or hemispherical valve body 1, a valve box 2 which has the valve body 1 accommodated rotatably inside via a stem 3, and is provided to discharge water from an inflow port 20 through an outflow port 21 by rotation of the valve body 1, and a mouthpiece 5 for external hose connection which is provided on the side of the outflow port 21 of the valve box 2. The mouthpiece 5 is connected to the valve box 2, and a jet flow guide part 30 which guides a jet flow generated as the valve body 1 is opened to an inner periphery of the mouthpiece 5 is provided at an inner periphery on the side of the outflow port 21 of the valve box 2. The angle of the jet flow guide part 30 is provided substantially in parallel with an outer peripheral tangent L of the valve body 1 opposed to the jet flow guide part 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】弁開時の流体抵抗の少ないボール式消火栓であって、部品点数を最小に抑え、全体の高さを低減しつつ、弁開動作時における流出側からの噴流を確実に防止できるボール式消火栓を提供する。【解決手段】球形状或は半球状の弁体1と、この弁体1がステム3を介して内部に回動自在に収納され、弁体1の回転により流入口20から流出口21を介して放水可能に設けられた弁箱2と、この弁箱2の流出口21側に設けられた外部のホース接続用の口金5とを有する。口金5が弁箱2に接続されていると共に、弁箱2の流出口21側の内周に、弁体1の開動作に伴って生じる噴流が口金5内周に誘導される噴流誘導部30が設けられ、この噴流誘導部30の角度がこの噴流誘導部30に対向される弁体1の外周接線Lと略平行に設けられている。【選択図】 図1
