PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long fiber-reinforced silicon carbide member that can improve reliability such as mechanical properties, and the like.SOLUTION: A long fiber-reinforced silicon carbide member 1 according to an embodiment has a cylindrical shape and includes a composite material layer 11 and a graphite surface layer 21. In the composite material layer, a matrix of silicon carbide forms a composite with a long fiber of silicon carbide.
