PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draw string-type shielding device that reliably eliminates a foreign matter that has been caught and reduces a load on a human body.SOLUTION: A cord equalizer according to the present invention holds a plurality of drawing cords hung from a support member installed in a building. The cord equalizer holds the plurality of drawing cords when a downward load is exerted on the cord equalizer while the plurality of drawing cords are being held roughly in parallel to each other, and breaks a loop structure formed by the plurality of drawing cords and the cord equalizer or elongates a length of the loop structure when a load is exerted on the drawing cord in a direction to widen the plurality of drawing cords, by elastically deforming or splitting the cord equalizer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
