PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electricity consumption while maintaining its detection accuracy in a water supplier having a reflective sensor.SOLUTION: The water supplier according to the present invention comprises a reflective sensor with its light projecting element projecting a predetermined amount of light to an object, and its light receiving element receiving the reflected light therefrom to output a corresponding light receiving level, a controller that determines the presence or the absence of the object according to the light receiving level to indicate a predetermined action, an electromagnetic valve that opens or closes the valve according to the indication from the controller, and a water discharge port that discharges water. The controller comprises a light projection execution means that carries out a normal light projection whereby a light projection from the light projecting element is regularly performed, and a confirmation light projection to confirm the presence of the object if the light receiving level based on the normal light projection exceeds a predetermined threshold, or to confirm the absence of the object if the light receiving level based on the normal light projection is below the predetermined threshold, and a condition setting means of setting a condition for a confirmation light projection for deciding to perform or not to perform a light projection by the confirmation light projection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】反射式センサを有する給水装置において、検出精度を維持しつつ、電力消費を低減すること。【解決手段】本発明に係る給水装置は、投光素子から所定の投光量で対象物に投光し、その反射光を受光素子で受光し受光レベルとして出力する反射式センサと、受光レベルにより対象物の有無を判断して所定の動作を指示する制御部と、記制御部の指示に基づいて弁を開閉する電磁弁と、水を吐出する吐水口と、を備えた給水装置において、制御部は、投光素子から定期的に投光する通常投光と、通常投光に基づく受光レベルが所定の閾値を超えた場合に、対象物が有ることを確定させる、または、通常投光に基づく前記受光レベルが所定の閾値を下回った場合に対象物が無いことを確定させるための確認投光と、を行う投光実行手段と、確認投光の投光有無を設定する確認投光条件設定手段と、を有する。【選択図】図３
