PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rheology modifier which imparts a thixotropic property and viscosity to water and a rheology modification method of water and to provide a slurry composition having high viscosity and excellent underwater separation resistance and a method for producing a slurry composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a rheology modifier which comprises (A) a polyether compound having a hydrocarbon group having 14 or more and 24 or less carbon atoms and an average addition molar number of ethylene oxide of 5 or more an 19 or less and (B) a fatty acid alkanolamide in which the number of carbon atoms of the fatty acid moiety is 14 or more and 24 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
