PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer and a roof drain which can be manufactured at low cost and have high designability.SOLUTION: The strainer 12 used for the roof drain 1 includes: a strainer main body 41 which is provided at a position lower than the upper end and has a top plate 53 having a plurality of holes 53a formed therein; a decorative member 42 placed on the top plate 53 and having a plurality of fastened members 61b to be inserted into the hole 53a provided on the lower surface side and a design portion 90 provided on the upper surface side; and a fastening member 65 to be fastened to the fastened member 61b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
