PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable machine for a vehicle capable of transmitting a control signal by an action other than pushing a button.SOLUTION: The portable machine is provided that is possessed by a user of a vehicle and transmits a control signal to an in-vehicle unit mounted in the vehicle, and includes: an acceleration sensor 31; a sensor control IC 32 for determining a direction of movement of the portable machine, based on a signal output by the acceleration sensor 31; and a communication control IC 37 for performing such a processing that the control signal is transmitted to the in-vehicle unit, the control signal being determined based on the direction of movement. The user can transmit the control signal from the portable machine by an action other than a button operation since the user can transmit the control signal by holding and moving the portable machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
