RESIN COATED HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE TYPE CATALYST AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated honeycomb structure easy to check completion of coating to an outer surface of an outer wall part and immersion to an appropriate depth to a honeycomb structure outer wall part by having an opaque colored resin coating on a surface, capable of preventing a catalyst slurry from immersing to the outer wall part especially when a wash coat method is applied, and capable of securing air permeability of the outer wall part as a carrier of a gasoline particulate filter (GPF), manufacturing method of a honeycomb structure-type catalyst using the same and the honeycomb structure-type catalyst.SOLUTION: There is provided a resin coated honeycomb structure having a partition constituted by porous inorganic oxide and for partitioning and forming a plurality of cells extending from an inlet edge surface becoming an inlet side of a fluid to an outlet edge surface becoming an outlet side of the fluid, a honeycomb substrate having an outer wall part, which is a side surface, and a colored resin coating formed on an outside surface of the outer wall part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】表面に不透明な有色樹脂被覆を備えることにより、外壁部の外側表面への被覆の完了およびハニカム構造体外壁部への適切な深さへの浸入を確認することが容易であり、また、特にウォッシュコート法の適用時には触媒スラリーが外壁部に浸出することを防止できる、ガソリンパティキュレートフィルター(GPF)の担体として外壁部の通気性を確保できる樹脂被覆ハニカム構造体、これを用いたハニカム構造型触媒の製造方法およびハニカム構造型触媒を提供。【解決手段】多孔質無機酸化物から構成され、流体の入口側となる入口端面から流体の出口側となる出口端面まで延びる複数のセルを区画形成する隔壁と、側面である外壁部とを有するハニカム基材と、該外壁部の外側表面に形成された着色樹脂被覆を備えることを特徴とする樹脂被覆ハニカム構造体などにより提供。【選択図】図1
