RESIN-COATED HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE TYPE CATALYST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated honeycomb structure which has an opaque chromatic resin coating thereon and thereby facilitates confirmation of completion of coating of an outer wall portion to an outside surface and infiltration of the outer wall portion to an appropriate depth to the honeycomb structure outer wall portion, can prevent bleeding of a catalyst slurry to the outer wall portion, in particular, at the time of application of a wash coat method, and can secure air permeability of the outer wall portion as a carrier of a gasoline particulate filter (GPF), and to provide a method for producing a honeycomb structure type catalyst and a honeycomb structure type catalyst using the same.SOLUTION: A resin-coated honeycomb structure has a partition wall which is formed of a porous inorganic oxide and partitions and forms a plurality of cells extending to an outlet end face becoming an outlet side of a fluid from an inlet end face becoming an inlet side of the fluid, a honeycomb base material having an outer wall portion being a side face, and a colored resin coating formed on the outside surface of the outer wall portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】表面に不透明な有色樹脂被覆を備えることにより、外壁部の外側表面への被覆の完了およびハニカム構造体外壁部への適切な深さへの浸入を確認することが容易であり、また、特にウォッシュコート法の適用時には触媒スラリーが外壁部に浸出することを防止できる、ガソリンパティキュレートフィルター(GPF)の担体として外壁部の通気性を確保できる樹脂被覆ハニカム構造体、これを用いたハニカム構造型触媒の製造方法およびハニカム構造型触媒の提供。【解決手段】多孔質無機酸化物から構成され、流体の入口側となる入口端面から流体の出口側となる出口端面まで延びる複数のセルを区画形成する隔壁と、側面である外壁部とを有するハニカム基材と、該外壁部の外側表面に形成された着色樹脂被覆を備えることを特徴とする樹脂被覆ハニカム構造体。【選択図】図1
