PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under bridge inspection device and an under bridge inspection method with which an under bridge inspection can be performed easily, which does not require a work space, and which has a concise mechanism.SOLUTION: An under bridge inspection device 100 of the present invention comprises: a carriage 110 which runs along a guardrail 108 on a bridge 102; a beam 140 installed on the carriage; a rod 142 suspended from the beam; and a camera 144 attached to the bottom end of the rod, which photographs equipment 106 installed on a lower face 104 of the bridge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
