HOOD LOCK DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood lock device that excels in reliability and improves safety as well with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A hood lock device comprises: a primary lock part capable of holding a hood 3 in a fully-closed state; and a secondary lock part 5 capable of holding the hood 3 in a half-open state. The secondary lock part comprises: a catcher 22 attached to a vehicle body; a base 23 attached to the hood; and a latch 24 supported by a base so as to be rotatable between a latching position and an unlatching position by using, as the center of rotation, a shaft 32 extending in forward and backward directions of the vehicle body. The latch has: a hook part 29 that locks the catcher if the hood is opened to the half-open state when the latch is in the latching position; an operation part 30 capable of rotating the latch to the unlatching position; and a contact part 31 that comes into contact with the catcher if the hood is closed from the half-open state to the fully-closed state when the latch is in the unlatching position.
