PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taxi meter that can effectively prevent a taxi fare cheating by which a passenger with no intention of paying a taxi fare forcibly tries to open a door and escape.SOLUTION: A taxi meter 1 mounted on a taxi vehicle 10 having a door lock mechanism 12 for locking a door includes a payment switch 3 operated when a passenger gets off the vehicle, and a door lock control unit 7 for releasing the lock state of the door by the door lock mechanism 12 when the payment switch 3 is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
