PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water handling article capable of conducting sterilization and cleaning of a water contact surface by a self-cleaning mechanism using strong oxidation power of OH radical without using a photocatalyst.SOLUTION: In an article containing a water contact member which is a water contact surface, of which at least a part of exposed surface can get in contact with a liquid state water, the part of the water contact surface is constituted by an ultraviolet permeable material, a first area constituted by the ultraviolet permeable material and a second area constituted by an ultraviolet impermeable material are separated, a back surface of the first area is irradiated with ultraviolet after adhering a sterilization cleaning liquid generating OH radical by ultraviolet irradiation such as a hydrogen peroxide solution to surfaces of these areas, and the sterilization cleaning liquid adhered to both areas is irradiated with transmitted ultraviolet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 光触媒を使用することなく、OHラジカルの強い酸化力を利用したセルフクリーニング機構により接水表面の殺菌・洗浄を行うことができる水取扱い物品を提供する。【解決手段】 露出した表面の少なくとも一部が液体状態の水と接触し得る接水表面である接水部材を含んでなる物品において、前記接水表面の一部を紫外線透過性物質で構成し、紫外線透過性物質で構成される第一の領域と紫外線不透過物質で構成される第二の領域とに分け、過酸化水素水等の紫外線照射によってOHラジカルを発生する殺菌洗浄液をこれら両領域の表面に付着させた後に、前記第一の領域の裏面から紫外線を照射して、透過紫外線を前記両領域に付着した前記菌洗浄液に照射するようにする。【選択図】図1
