To provide a road surface cutter for cutting a road surface by precisely controlling the cutting depth.SOLUTION: A road surface cutter 1 is provided with a vehicle body 12 provided with front wheel 13 and rear wheels 14a, 14b for travelling; a cutting drum 11 having a plurality of bits 71 on a circumference surface 72 and rotatably supported on a vehicle body 12 to be rotatably driven; a left rear wheel vertical cylinder 51a and a right rear wheel vertical cylinder 51b; a conversion mechanism 21 for converting the mount of movement of the left rear wheel vertical cylinder 51a or the right rear wheel vertical cylinder 51b into the amount of movement in the vertical direction between the rear wheels 14a, 14b and the cutting drum 11; a controller 81; and a right high-speed reactive rising solenoid valve 84, a right high-speed reactive lowering solenoid valve 85, a left high-speed reactive rising solenoid valve 86 and a left high-speed reactive lowering solenoid valve 87 for operating the left rear wheel vertical cylinder 44a or the right rear wheel vertical cylinder 44b following an electric pulse input from the controller 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
