CALCINED CALCIUM AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
To provide calcined calcium that can be easily pulverized into fine powder without being pulverized with an expensive and/or dedicated mill.SOLUTION: A production method of calcined calcium is the method that produces the calcined calcium using at least one start material selected from shells, egg shells, sea urchin shells, corals, and crustacea. The production method includes in order: (A) a primary calcination process of calcining the start material at 1100°C or higher and for four hours or longer; (B) a process of executing natural cooling of the calcined primary burned product up to the ambient temperature; (C) a process of agitating and/or mixing the primary burned product so as to be substantially uniform; (D) a secondary calcination process of calcining the primary burned product at 1100°C or higher and for two hours or longer; and (E) a process of executing natural cooling of the calcined secondary burned product up to the ambient temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: None
