To develop a technology capable of improving the degree of freedom in design of a groove secured between plate materials (first plate material and second plate material), and capable of keeping a relative position stable between plate materials even after completion of welding.SOLUTION: In a welded structure 1 which is provided, at a first plate material 11, a first connection member 12 having a tip part 12d protruding from an edge part is fixed, a second connection member 22 fixed to a second plate material 21 abutted and welded to the first plate material 11 is abutted and fixed to the first connection member 12, and on the rear surface side of a welded part 3 of the first and second plate materials 11 and 21, the tip part 12d of the first connection member 12 is located. A welding method which can construct the welded structure 1 and a tank construction method, and a tank having the welded structure 1 are also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
