To provide a transmitter capable of allowing a manual operation with a compact structure.SOLUTION: The transmitter comprises: a body case 41; a transmission control part 43 disposed in the body case 41, which is configured to transmit an automatic transmission signal for causing a garage shutter device to automatically operate; and a one-point manual operation switch 45 exposed from the main body case 41. The transmission control part 43 is configured to transmit a manual control signal for controlling the operation of the garage shutter device depending on the manual operation pattern made on the manual operation switch 45.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
