To provide a demolition method of an existing structure which can reduce a construction cost.SOLUTION: A demolition method of an existing structure comprises: a strep S1 for setting a prescribed existing column 11 of an existing building 1 as a columnar support 11A, constructing a crane placing floor 20 on a top floor of the existing building 1 by temporarily supporting the installation floor to the columnar support 11A, and installing a crane 21 on the crane installation floor 20; a step S2 for demolishing a two-layer amount or one layer amount while making the columnar support 11A remain by using the crane 21; steps S3 to S5 for releasing the temporary support of the crane installation floor 20 by the columnar support 11A, descending the crane installation floor 20 by one layer amount along the columnar support 11A, and temporarily supporting the crane installation floor 20 to the columnar support 11A once again; steps S7 to S8 for removing an upper part of the columnar support 11A; and a step S9 for repeating the step S2 to the step S8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
