To provide a road surface cleaning vehicle which can simplify the structure relating to opening and closing of a discharge door of a hopper having a latch, resulting in reduction in cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a road surface cleaning vehicle configured such that: under a situation where an operation end is located at a second engagement position in the state where a discharge outlet is closed by a discharge door 10, when a hydraulic cylinder 15 is caused to perform contraction operation while latches 26, 26 are located at a lock position, the operation end moves to a first engagement position so that the latches 26, 26 move to an unlock position by means of a linkage mechanism 25 and the contraction operation of the hydraulic cylinder 15 from the first engagement position causes the discharge door 10 to perform opening operation; and under a situation where the operation end is located at the first engagement position in the state where the discharge outlet is opened by the discharge door 10, when the hydraulic cylinder 15 is operated to be extended while the latches 26, 26 are located at the unlock position, the operation end operates to close the discharge door 10 and then moves to the second engagement position against energization of discharge coil springs 22, 22, so that the latches 26, 26 move to the lock position by means of the linkage mechanism 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
